Antique side / lamp/ occasional table or plant stand. Made of solid oak, very sturdy, in minimalistic arts and crafts style.

50 cm high, 33 cm square top. Table is very sturdy, regardless to its age and use. Understandably has signs of age and wear, but no structural damages. Perfect simple geometrical lines combined with age and quality, this table would fit in in almost any design and would serve many more generations to come. Retains an original Greenland of Hereford plaque.

Back in 1856 George Greenland came to Hereford from Newbury in Berkshire and soon established a drapery business with a Mr Barrett in High Town. After expanding the store with the acquisition of new properties in the city centre, the modest philanthropist passed away in 1901 but left the growing business to his four sons. By the 1950s, the Greenlands'empire' had reached its peak, and with more than 200 employees and stores as far away as Llandrindod Wells it became known as'the Harrods of the West'. Please bear in mind that this is original vintage item and had quite a long life before finding it's new home, so naturally would present some signs of age and use. Do not expect to get Brand-New item.
