Solid construction using traditional mortise and tenon joints. The corners of every drawer are joined with machine-cut dovetail joints. Natural oil finish - No lacquers, easy care with light amount Danish oil required. Smoothly finished surfaces and no sharp edges. Easy slide drawers on full length waxed wooden runners. Drawers that fit perfectly and balance. Oak back-stop on all drawers to prevent drawer coming out too far.

Internal drawer height is 120mm. The Ashley Milton range is made from premium grade solid American white oak kiln-dried timbers. The vast majority of oak used in our furniture contains a small amount of knots and some variation in colour.

Any knots in the furniture are treated to make stable. A light stain is also used to help match the colour variation. Our photographs are a true representation of what you will receive. Shows off the natural character and contours of the beautiful grain.

Many of the leading UK furniture suppliers use a thin high grade oak or hardwood veneer glued on to the surface of cheaper materials like MDF or chipboard. We only use 100% solid oak and the finest cabinet makers in the world. All the oak has been cut to size with modern precision machinery.

The furniture is then assembled and finished by hand to a very high specification. The timber is checked for suitability prior to construction. Furniture is quality approved during assembly and on completion, before packaging.

Solid oak furniture can expand and contract slightly due to changes in the moisture content in the air and extreme variations in heat. To prevent drying out avoid keeping the furniture next to a hot radiator or in direct sunlight for long periods. It is best to apply a single coat of danish oil when you first place your furniture and at each change of season.
