A very well-made piece, this is early Victorian and in solid oak. The pillar is the form of a Roman Corinthian pillar wrapped in flowers; it's then been ebonised as was the fashion of the day. This is a very important looking pedestal and would display anything with style and charm, antiques, taxidermy even plat pots. The timber has all been cleaned waxed and polished, there has been a marble laminate sheet fitted to the top, there are some small losses to the timber. Width:- 33cm base, 31.5cm at the top.
