Your sheepskin rug is a natural product and if looked after properly you will be able to enjoy the comfort and softness for many years. Sheepskin fibres stick together and flatten down while traveling and packed. After receiving your rug give it a good shake outside to awaken the lift the wool fibres. All natural hide shed some fur and is completely normal. Fibre shedding after first installation to it's new place is quiet common and you might think it will be loosing all it's fur content and your sheepskin is going to end up going bold - relax it will not. After a few weeks you will find that your rug will settle down and wool will stay remain nice and dense as was original. Take your rug outside once a week and give it a nice and well shake to remove dust and dirt and brush it over with a common pet brush. You're going to wonder how much these simply steps effective. If your sheepskin rug is placed on a high traffic area do not be rest to go through the cleaning procedure a bit more often and your rug will serve you for a very long time.

They are very environmental sensitive and if get placed where humidity or temperature is out of normal interval or having an intense mechanical impact they might develop shedding (due to the fibre structure mentioned above) Do not - place near extreme heat like in front of fire, near a radiator or on floors with under floor heating. Allow pets to become too attached to your pelt, they love to dig out the hairs Reindeer hide is not washable at all! To remove any dust and dirt shake the hide gently once a week outside or use a low setting on your vacuum cleaner and gently vacuum hide from head to feet.
