Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this. Stunning and very rare circa 1840 early Victorian English Oak games table. This table is a bit of mystery, it has a square drop section in the middle which I assume is for making all the chips slide to the winner's side, it can be held down with two metal clips which are controlled by levers either side. There is a large button on side which I don't know what it does, there is also two drawers which don't seem to open, I assume the button unlocks the drawers and it's not working on the underside of the opposite side there is two secret buttons, again I have no idea what they do.
In terms of condition, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, the green felt is in good order, the middle drop mechanism works perfectly. The table comes with four candle holders, two are metal two plastic which I assume are replacements, all are a little bent and take a while to get them to screw in the correct position. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
