A BEAUTIFUL SOLID OAK FLOATING MANTEL SHELF. My workshop is now back up and running after some machinery changes and new timber supplies. Its been made by me from solid oak. These beams are unique as no 2 grains will be the same, the items I make are made in Yorkshire in my village workshop using locally sourced materials. These mantels are Not mass produced or imported! These look great in your home. Being a natural product it has loads of character and charm which will only improve over time. As they are made from beautiful green oak they may over time have some movement and splitting which again only adds character and charm and doesn't take away from the strength and integrity of the Mantel. The bottom edge of the mantels has been curved to give some lovely details. The profile of the mantels/shelves are 96mm x 96mm(almost 4inch x 4 inch) and in the length specified in the options above. Each mantel beam is made to order so you get an item made specially for you.

You can choose what finish you require from oils to varnish, beeswax or even freshly sanded(for you to add your own finish). The beam in the pictures is finished with danish oil which brings out the beautiful natural colours, your beam will come with this finish unless selected otherwise.

The choices of colour available is. Natural oak - (no stain or oils, just sanded finish). Finishes can be seen in the pictures above. My mantels will outlive any modern mass produced or imported furniture as they are made from solid Oak with time and care!
